End of Summer

After a busy and very enjoyable season despite the changeable weather, here are a few photos I’ve picked out from throughout the Summer…

Engagement/ pre-wedding photographs

With the Sun shining Spring is almost here and it’s a perfect time to start thinking about having your engagement/pre-wedding shoot.

Here are a few examples from last year to get you in the mood:

Chris & Ceri’s Wedding at Caergwrle church and the Grosvenor Pulford hotel 20/11/10

A Cold but dry November’s day, the temperature caused me a few problems with my lenses misting up but I managed to keep them clear for the important shots!

The ceremony went well and it was on to the Grosvenor in pulford for the group and Bride & Groom photographs. I got the Friends photos done first and then it was just left for the family to get cold for a few pics, I worked nice and quickly and then it was on to the bride & groom photos and we got some very nice ones down by the water.

Neil & Katie’s Wedding at Penyffordd Church & The Lion Quays Oswestry, 11/09/10

A nice sunny day luckily as it seemed like the weather could go either way, we did have a light shower at the hotel but it did not interrupt our photos as the bride and groom sheltered under the chauffeurs umbrella for two minutes until it passed.

The bride and Grooms bulldog came to meet them at the church and he was wearing a tie! Love it!

The ceremony went well and after a few photos at the church it was off to the Lion Quays for the reception. We got some gorgeous photos here, I love this venue as it is right on the canal and you can go down to the water to take the bride & groom photos.

Then it was time  for the wedding breakfast which was kicked off with a few songs by the wedding singer who had all the guests swinging their napkins around their heads!

The evening do was also a great success with a casino, chocolate fountain and then a hog roast, yum yum!!

Kelvin & Lucie’s Wedding at Court Colman Manor in Bridgend 05/06/10

My Girlfriend Amy and I travelled down to South Wales on the friday to photograph this wedding – not the best of journeys there were traffic jams on most of the roads! Luckily the rest of the weekend went a bit more smoothly.

Saturday was a nice sunny day not too hot, which set the scene for a lovely wedding with a garden party feel.

The whole day went well and we were well looked after with posh fish & chips for dinner! Thanks Lucy and Kelvin!

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog page, I’ve changed from the system I was using to this new one.

Happy New Year from Dan!

Happy New Year from Dan!
Well I’m snowed in today, so good chance to write the blog now I’ve cleared the drive!
I want to wish a happy new year to all my customers, and say thank you for your custom in 2009 which was a difficult year for many small businesses.
I’m looking forward to 2010 and all the challenges it may bring!
I have some exciting new products in the pipeline including new style albums and some new funky frames.
I’ve also been honing my skills over the winter with some intensive photographic training, and hope to be producing some stunning photography in the coming year!

Hope Church & Llyndir Hall Hotel

Kevin & Clare at Llyndir Hall, 28/03/2009.

This was a great wedding for a lovely couple! It was a little windy early on at the church but at least it was dry! And it was nice at the hotel with plenty of shelter from the wind in the grounds of the hotel for photographs.
I particularly enjoyed the lanterns being lit later on in the evening. I would definitely recommend them as an alternative to fireworks, as everybody enjoyed having a go at lighting them and watching them float up into the night sky!
